I'm thinking that Peters might wanna stop to try to force the issue with Ryan on the PP. That is not a guy who will score 20 goals, so maybe stop jamming him inte prime ice time when much better players are available.

He's also smaller, weaker, inexperienced and he's had one point so far in his entire NHL career. I don't see a good argument for replacing him with Gio.

I think I've just come to accept that the flames are an okay team but their ceiling is very low because they just have an atrocious power play that's unfixable
Come to terms with losing 1-0 to the sabres after putting up 40 shots and 5 poweplays

It's tough to say something is unfixable when for the last three years your coaches refuse to utilize the common sense of setting up offwing one-timers

I know it's probably not popular here but I think we need to take Gaudreau off the number 1 pp. Too many good players are waiting for him to do his thing and nobody is benefiting from this. If I had to guess a pie chart of our pp's would look like this:
1/4 retrieval
1/4 waiting for Johnny to gain the zone
1/4 attacking the net
1/4 wondering what Johnny will do with the puck
Take him off the first pp and give him full control over the 2nd unit. This way you'd have and average(ish) forward group for the first 60+ of a pp and then have to worry about Johnny.
