I like Peter's use of the rookies. Give them lots of ice time. Sure they will make mistakes but this is the time to do so. By the end of the season, mistakes will hopefully be less and we can see exactly what we have with our young guys.
They don't learn by being stapled to the bench for 95% of games.

Backlund shouldnt be a key figure on the PP. The sequence was him holding the puck far too long and then forced into a dangerous pass which almost backfired.

Is nobody on the Calgary bench warning the power play guys that the penalty is coming to and end ? Two games back to back were the pp unit is caught completely off guard with a guy coming out of the box.

Could not agree more.
Justifiable with last year's roster, certainly not this year, especially if he is nursing a hand injury.
He just isn't a pp player.
