Dube with an assist and +1 in a 9-1 game is probably the only bright spot of that game.

It’s a lot simpler than some people want to believe.

Gelinas says this is the worst lost he has had in his 30 years of being in the NHL.
Oh boy

Well at least the good news in all of this is that our goaltending is just fine.

And this on the heels of Tkachuk calling out his team for their terrible play on Montreal.

I think we are too light on Giordano around here. Not for his play, but the last few years of his captaincy have been tough as fans- the team rarely comes motivated, seems undisciplined. We pin it on the coaches but some of it has to come from internal leadership. Where is the captain's voice in this!
Starting to agree with this.

Yeah, Gelinas was calm for the interview, but you could tell he was seething.

Peter's need to show these clowns there will be consequences. Bag skate them for hours. Verbally berate them. Sit Monahan. He needs to do something.

He can't just say, "were not winning puck battles, lack of foot speed, not good enough." That's meaningless cheap talk.

He needs to do something meaningful. This is where Darryl Sutter shines. He knows how to take advantages of emotions to get his message across. You will play hard or you will not play. This is the battleground. This is the hill to die on.

Oh, come on. This isn't a wakeup call. Wednesday was the wakeup call. This is sleeping through the first six alarms and walking (not even sprinting) to a thirty-minute meeting and arriving two hours late.

I’m a fan of his, I think he can win games for the Flames, but no way should Mike Smith have started the second period.

I recall a game in 2002ish when they lost 8-0 to Nashville. Also at home.

Flames lost 9-0 to Boston a few years ago. The infamous Chris "minus-7" Butler game.
