One of my clients drives a compost pickup truck for the City, he would like me pass along that he hates all of you. If you leave extra bags by your green bin, he hates you.
Thats not from me. I'm just conveying the message. He gets paid for it and its allowed so I dont really see the problem.

Family of four (me, Mrs., cat, dog) and most of the time we don't even put the green bin out, we just don't need to.
Once the leaves got dry enough for me to use the blower-vac on them, I was actually able to fill the damn thing to 80% capacity. That's more action than it has seen since we moved into our house in May.

I left 10 bags there this morning, I'll see if they get picked up. And tell your friend to do his job without complaining, we are paying his paycheck! I think that's how it goes, right?

^Oh, that's probably because compostable bags kinda suck ass from a durability perspective if left out in the elements. He's probably lived the dream of having them develop a hole and have the contents spill out, probably all over himself.

The website says during the busy fall season they may not take them all. Which just means another week for the bags to rot and have the bottom fall out...

Too Freakin bad...do your job buddy...
I had a full Green bin and 4 bags from my front yard alone...
5 more when I did the back yard.
It would take months to do all of then through the green bin alone.

They would for sure get taken if you leave a bag of empties out for the driver as well.

I see I'm the only nice guy here. I keep my extra bags in the garage and put them out each week, but then I've never had more than 2 full bags waiting in the garage so that isn't bad.

I've got about 20 waiting. I try to spread them out over a few weeks, but I saw a couple houses with about that many out by the curb this morning.
But I guess if they hate picking up any extra bags, my spreading it out isn't making anyone feel better.

Kids...servants, what's the difference? I figure I have a few more years of their indentured servitude, so I better take advantage while I can!

They took 'em all! Alright, I'll pay my taxes this month. Maybe he felt bad about the Great Bin Massacre he perpetrated last month...

my lot is slightly bigger than most on my street, and i have not yet had to use the paper bags for leaves; however, i have been trying to keep up witht eh elaves since the snow melted.
had i held off on picking up the leaves, then i could see needing bags.

I just looked at the schedule for next month, they have green and black cart collection on the same week. I was OK with the black cart going to every other week as most stinky garbage can go into the green cart. So now I have to put garbage outside for the skunks to get into?

I just did the taxes for a client who picks up the green bins and apparently he hit one house that had 26 additional bags and his instructions were: Take 'em all.
The City wants the compost. They want it because it helps the landfills and expedites the waste regeneration process, they'll take as much compostable yard waste as you want to give them.

Problem is when you have to pick up your and your neighbors.
If the wind picked up, I wouldn't have a problem...
