Are you though? Really? In Montreal. Don't be shocked.

Biggest annoyance with the PP is where they put Neal. Guy is at his best on the top of the faceoff circles blasting shots on net.
They have him behind the net throwing soft passes to the half boards.

I expect a completely different look on the team for the third. We can still get a win here.

I just got home. I assume this has been an even worse effort than the Rangers game?

If there's anything positive, it's that this team has been able to flip a switch between periods in previous games. Unfortunate that they've needed to, but I still think it's worth tuning in to the third. Unlike last year.

Yeah - signing a shooter, then never putting him in a spot to unload the shot.
The fact that we don’t line anyone up in a shooting position on the PP is illogical. We just get useless stationary shots into traffic. It’s dumb.

Does this group have a comeback in them tonight? It doesn’t feel like it, but I at least want to see how they respond to what’s certain to be a tongue lashing by Peters. Their effort will say a lot, win or lose.

They may watch him for doing illegal things to provoke penalties, but the penalties he draws are usually good calls. I don’t think he’s doing a lot of embellishing or diving.

Doesn’t fake it but you often see him looking to the ref when he engages a player, and the guy roughs him up a bit or sticks his stick between the legs. The refs have tuned him out if he’s trying to initiate.

When our PP is struggling as bad as our is, I’ve never understood why we just don’t send out our standard top 2 lines who look pretty dangerous even strength.
