A guy posting a 63% CF% can certainly help mold the flow of play not only for his own shift but the next shift.
By contrast I've seen the play die on Hathaway's stick at least twice.

A big part of the problem is that many of the forwards are looking to make that one play along the boards or at the line, to start a break out, and taking a bit of a risk.
They don’t get that break and then they are chasing the puck in their zone as one or two guys are out of position long enough in this quick league to take a while to get back into position.
And I don’t think it’s selfish, I think it’s part of Peters strategy to get the puck up the ice quickly.

As good as Valimaki, Andersson, and Hanifin look, we have three 21-and-under defencemen. It's probably not a coincidence that the defensive game has not been our strong suit in the last few games.

Yeah I think if they can stick with it though the growing pains there's a long term payoff but once Hamonic comes back I imagine there will be one less young defenseman playing.

Yeah I know it's hard to justify pulling Hathaway after 2 goals but I really would like to see Czarnik. He's not going to put the team on his back and win all by himself but he looked solid in very situation. 5v5, pp, pk, a great utility winger. Hope to see him in the lineup again soon

Andersson just outworked a Domi on the boards. Nice.
It got turned back over immediately, but still, it was nice
