glad to see him doing so well; i don't know what Peters intends with the next game, but after that performance, i'd be more than happy to see Rittich get another start.
great work by the fourth line too...really came out and gave the time some energy when they needed it.
Every comment in this thread should be about Rittich. What a game.

Great game by Rittich. How long has it been since we have been able to say the 4th line was the key.
Having Craig Simpson as the colour analyst was a nice change too.
My gosh stop with this Hometown hockey minor player interviews. I want game analysis from analysts, not what kind of player some random minor hockey kid thinks his game resembles, how he or she scores a goal or their favorite player. What a waste of airtime. Stop with the minor hockey information. No one cares.
Its once a week.

Rittich can be the #1, #2, and #3 star for that one. This one could have been a laugher without him.
None of the forwards were really above average tonight, everyone played about as expected, save Hathaway of course. Valimaki really stood out on D for me. I think he's going to be more valuable to this org long term than Hanifin will be.

I would like to see him get the next 5 starts at least...see what kind of consistency he brings.
If Eminem was a Rangers fan Quinn would be playing ADA

The kiss of death!

I have no idea what to expect from the Flames aside from their Top 6 being ridiculous.
Gaudreau is magic and the 3M line is great.

i have asked god to grant me the patience to deal with things i cannot change, like NHL coaches making inscrutable decisions

Looking forward to a win after killing myself working at cleaning up the garden today. Hopefully, the Rangers are working in the Garden tonight.

They haven't won at MSG in a decade though (according to their GDT), so... Henrik has a 70-save 2-1 shootout win I guess.
David vs Goliath

David Riddick in goal? WTFIDR?

I love how Calgary’s method for defending guys in the crease is to bear hug them and not worry about the puck at all.

Calgary brought in Christian Dube AND their back up is playing? We're doomed.

Rittitch.

Tonight, the chronicles of rittich begin with a perfect game against the rongos

You know, it feels really special that we're now a confidence-building team for young goalies who've hardly ever played in the NHL.

50-save shutout for rittich incoming

This team cant score. I'm sure its frustrating knowing if you dont pitch a 1 goal or shutout your team is going to lose.

This goalie is Rittichulous

Johnny Hockey gardening it up

Badly outshooting opponent often equals a Calgary goal on their next chance.

Wow Gaudreau. That was sick.

Johnny Hockey is a joy to watch. Meh otherwise.

What a goal. Hank should have had that but what a beauty nonetheless.

Lol that’s just unreal by Johnny Ham and Cheese.

Overheard in the Rangers locker room after the game:
“He got me,” Lundqvist said of Johnny Hockey's goals on him. "That f***ing Gaudreau boomed me."
Lundqvist added, “He’s so good,” repeating it four times.
Lundqvist then said he wanted to add Gaudreau to the list of players he works out with this summer.

When will we get someone with that kinda talent night in night out?

That shot.... I aint even mad about that one

Very pretty goal. Effort was there, just got out-skilled

The Goat Staal
Quote:
As I say every game, here’s to Staal getting embarrassed to the point where they have to scratch him
Quote:
Steal looks like he needs an oxygen mask attached to his hip while he's on the ice.
Quote:
Staal is a ****ing train wreck.
Quote:
Marc Staal is terrible. I don't care about his contract, there's no justification to playing this guy while sitting young player(s) in the press box who can actually improve at this point.
Quote:
lmfao. Staal is further away from Dube than Jupiter.
Quote:
Staal is hilariously slow lmao
Quote:
Bashing Staal is like scolding my senior dog for having an accident. But I'm gonna bop Staal on the nose for that one.

Lol keep playing Staal, Quinn.

I wish one day I could have on ice season tickets like Marc Staal. Must be so exciting to skate and watch the Rangers play.

Team plays the whole game in Calgary’s end and can’t bury a shot. They make one bad mistake and it ends up in the back of their net. Classic Rangers.

Hank is PISSED!

To be fair, it’s Johnny freakin’ Gaudreau.

lmfao. now ive figured out who kevin p hayes is trying so hard to emulate. watching his bud johnny gaudreau dangle and shoot and he's trying to copy him. trade him to calgary to be with his pal Jeff.

UFC Fight Night Rasmus Edition
Quote:
I hate this team so much
Quote:
Wow this is such a bad hockey team
Quote:
Crazy how the ice is only ****ty for the rangers players and Calgary can handle passes amazingly
Quote:
We all knew this year was gonna be rough, but that last 10 minutes of hockey by the Rangers was just brutal. Gotta get the defense together because the current system is leaving way too many plays open right around the crease and slot for the other team. The worst part is when this team plays a full 60 we win or get a point, but they can’t do that consistently.
Quote:
Hathaway increased his career goal total by 40% against us tonight. Cool.
Quote:
So we either play a complete 60 or fall the #### apart in the second period. Come on guys, you can't leave dudes to shoot from the slot, didn't we learn from last year?
Quote:
Things could be worse folks.
At least we didn’t spend money to watch this game in person.
