Serious when is Backlund going to live up to his contract and do something?

But hey Chucky’s dad calls him the most underrated player in the NHL so what do I know?

Gaudreau needs to not be the trigger man on the power play, he has a muffin.

It's an exercise in frustration to watch that kind of Flames hockey.

Travis Green on the Pettersson hit: "That's a dirty play."

He gave him a little extra english on a hit along the boards. Pettersson is 6'0" and about 110 pounds. Any other player in the NHL just absorbs that extra shove. Pettersson shatters. I don't consider it "dirty". Watch the extra shoves and punches around the net any night that nobody considers dirty. Some guys (*cough* Tkachuk *cough*) take a beating every night and don't complain about it.

To me this seems like Green is looking for some sympathy from the refs in the next few games. Gamesmanship, nothing more.

Man, flames got dummied out there.

Avs had a better goalie, better defense, better offense, better pp, better pk.

Flames sucked that period, feels like we've seen more of those than good ones this season.

Come on, that was dirty as hell. If someone did that to Gaudreau we'd all be furious.

Man, some people need to calm down.

First goal the puck was bouncing all over the place. It took the whole team working together, plus a couple of bounces in the Avs favour pretty quickly, to mess up. Hard to even definitively point majority of blame anywhere. Unless you really are determined to.

Second goal, the bouncing puck moved sideways on Brodie, and the guy wedged it under the bar on Rittich. Fluky, unfortunate, and not repeatable

The Flames get scored on, the tantrums start and the knives come out.

Ridiculous. If Gaudreau gets slammed like that we'd be calling for Matheson's head too.

Not sure how you see that as a clean hit... I hate the canucks but I think that was really dirty. That is essentially an outside foot takedown after the initial, clean hit. Matheson's right leg trips Petterson and he throws him over his leg. Seems like obvious intent to injure. I'd be furious if that happened to Johnny just cause he dangled him 10 seconds before.

I think there are motivation and/or preparation issues carrying over, but at least bill Peters is adjusting better in the first two weeks than gulutzan did in his entire tenure.

Yeah I’m not ripping anyone apart for the specific faults on a goal against. Mistakes happen in hockey, expecting the team to play perfect is a fool’s hope.

The concerning aspect for me is the team not being ready to start the game.

On the flip side, how bloody refreshing is it to see a coach take a time out and use on-point hand gestures to get his team going!

Nice to see Babcock branching out into Tide commercials. Good for him.
