Johnny tried skating the left side every time on his entries. He needs to be more varied.

Flames deserved a little better outcome that period. They didn't play great, but the Blues didn't exactly force the play. Smith got caught deep in his crease on a couple goals and probably would have liked to have those back. Monahan a little unlucky on the penalty shot. Score is not indicative of the play IMO.

Mcdavid speed skates to a goal then the oilers proceed to get buried, good to see things haven't changed there.

I have much more faith in this team erasing their deficit.

Flames need to get more pucks on net, it’s no big secret that Allen has struggled out of the gate.

Chucky needs to shoot more especially, love the kid but it doesn’t always have to be the perfect passing play.

Blues are hungry for a win. They're bearing down on their chances, and still, Smith made some big saves. I agree with New Era, he's playing a little deep which hurts his ability to make a save. Other than that, the period was fine. Could be better. Pretty even game after the first 5 minutes. Monahan scoring on that penalty shot would make everyone feel a lot better, but them's the breaks.

Monahan. Rang it off the post - Allen didn't even see it.

They covered it on 960 but Smith doesn't have a good track record of following up shutouts with strong play in the next game.

I missed the first 10 mins, Johnny stood still on their 3rd goal, but shortly before that Bennett was cross checked behind the Blues net that should have been called . Monahan just unlucky on that one

The last goal looked like the ones Vancouver was getting - a wide open shooter from a low pass.

Interesting. Did not know that. Consistency was his problem in Az. I didn't realize he was subject to the shutout curse. I wonder if he struggles with the PBFU as well?

Real nice plays by Bennett and Dube on the Neal goal.
