All I could think about is an Australian referring to them as a bunch of kents.

Well, that would be odd. Especially if they were siblings. Reminds me of a Bob Newhart show.

So many cringe-worthy names on this list. What are people thinking?? I'm in my early thirties so I've got plenty of friends in their child producing years. You just gotta smile and nod when they tell you that they just named their kid Diesel or Infiniti or some other weird made up name. Meanwhile you're thinking "you guys are idiots".
That being said, my wife and I have named our three kids somewhat unique names compared to their peers, but only because we have chosen classic Scandinavian names since that is our heritage. In 2015 we named our son Mats, which I see is the only one on the 2015 list. We really like his name, but at the same time it's annoying to have to repeat it over and over when we tell people his name. No, it's not Max, no not Matt, it's M-A-T-S. So that will probably be an annoying thing he will have to deal with in life, although with all the weird names and spellings these days he won't be alone in that.

Well, no Adolfs or Kanyes this year, so that's a plus. A few science-fictiony names - Albus and Ashoka.

it's funny. my name was really commonly given until into the 70's and now it's very unpopular.
there are three times as many kids named Odin (27) last year than have my name.

I'm happy there are fewer Braiden's but alarmed that there are 5 ways to spell Brayden this year. Still too many Aidens.

Ashoka is a Indian name. He was a famous emperor who ruled pretty much all of the Indian subcontinent from c. 268 to 232 BCE

Having been through this recently, I'm almost certain the current guidelines provided on the baby registration forms don't allow for any punctuation, so I would guess that both Dre and M will not have the periods at the end of their names officially.
When we had our first a previous version of the guidelines stated, explicitly, that there was to be no $, @ or # in a name... They had to tell parents this...

Boo! When I picked my two sons names 12 & 10 years ago they were top 50 at best now they are both top 10. Another 54 Jaxon's sigh. It's crazy how much the names of actors influence baby names.
