I really don't think that had much to do with it. I think the team plays with confidence when they see that they can score up and down the line, when they have a solid d corps and when Smith is stopping everything.

Did we even have a single one of those last year? This is very, very promising. Bill Peters seems to have made a world of difference at this early stage.

Yeah, I can't say I was upset with Peluso tonight. Of course I'll never want him in often, but he was unnoticeable in a good way, and if he keeps it that way whenever he happens to fill in for someone, that's alright.

God this team is so much better than last year. Fun to watch. They don’t get down either. Two games in a row they’ve had cheesy goals waved off on them only to score immediately after. Beautiful.

Peters coaches like this is his team and he knows it. The minutes to Dube, Valimaki and Andersson were refreshing. The tweaks, the adjustments. Love it.

There were a couple, but before Christmas and not very often.

It almost feels like Bennett has more disallowed goals than allowed goals in his career

Absolutely awesome!! Mike Smith needed that performance.

Pretty neat having a top line that is a true top line.

Czarnik looks like a great signing, him and Tkachuk have some nice chemistry. Love that behind the legs pass Tkachuk gave him, what a goal that would’ve been.

Finally!! No collapses, played a full 60 minutes, got creative, actually exciting to watch!! It's so ####ing nice to see the team play to win, instead of not to lose.

That was the best flames game I've seen since 2006.

Dube got stronger as the game went on. He got absolutely stoned by rinne on that chance with a minute or two left. When he breaks out watch out!

Yeah, because Peluso had such a huge impact on the game tonight.

At this pace, Lindholm should beat his highest goals scoring season by about 70.
