Man, team speed is real. I cannot recall any time last year where an odd man rush was eliminated by back checking speed. Impressive Czarnik. Impressive.

I can see that being a concern with some younger players and it may very well have been the case, but Lindholm is another year older, so it's also likely his game could just be progressing/improving a bunch more as he's adding experience.

Very comprehensive performance by the Flames so far. They're getting the chances and not really giving up too many, and Smith has been very solid.
Even Peluso has been good. The third pair are still getting used to each other though.

Did Lindholm spend the summer working on his shot? Wonder if he thought he had a chance to line up with Gaudreau and decided he better be able to finish those siiiiiick feeds.

I feel like every season people forget how elite Gaudreau's skillset is.
Then he's goes an does s### like that to remind everybody. Without his linemates going down he probably isn't far behind mcdavid in scoring last season.
Now with healthy Monahan and Lindy he has even better guys to work with.
