Easy, Valimaki. Boy played great tonight. AHL defencemen versus First round pick, seems simple enough.
I’m glad they didn’t put Brodie in though, because he isn’t good.

Gaskal said he wouldn’t be able to get it up until quite late this night. Check for it tomorrow.

Derek Ryan looks awful...
Easily worst player on the ice for the flames tonight.
Should not be on PP
He wins draws. That is legitimately the limit of his skill.
Just a bunch of BS because he’s been with peters all the way up

I am sure they are perfectly nice, Swedish people, but my God, did Elias Petterson's parents ever look dour in both games.

5. Bennett - Jankowski - Neal. Please give us that!
6. Flames found a way to win - and in a league where any team can win on any night, finding ways to win is a team skill. Huge victory!

Derek Ryan doesn't look good but we need more Bennett?

Creaky game but got the win.
I know he got a little smashed stat wise but hanifin made an absolutely critical defensive play in the second busting his ass to get back on a 2 on 1 when we were one down (I think).

I thought Peters made a mistake and thought he had sent out Valimaki #8 instead of Prout #6.

If you watched them without presumption then you would come to that conclusion naturally

The sheer fact that bennett would get buried even worse than he already is if he made half the mistakes Ryan made defensively is enough to show that peters has “his guy” and nothing can change that.
I thought it was a dubious signing when it was made and I’m even more skeptical with him getting so much ice time and yet still sucking

Ryan is alright but not super inspiring out there. I counted a couple of nice plays where he held the zone well but he really doesn't do much offensively.
He'll settle into that 4C role without much complaint before long, I think. He's also the kind of guy who scores in bunches so I imagine we might see that soon.

I thought Ryan was much better tonight than last game. And he has some skill beyond winning draws.

I don’t like to get in the middle of the Bennett debate but if the only argument in favour of Bennett is that he’s playing better than our 4th line centre then we should be worried. That’s not exactly strong praise.

I may get slammed for this, but ffs more Bennett for bottom 6 mins please. Anything else makes the whole org look stupid based on the Friedman comments.

Gonna be honest, assuming Frolik has not lost all his talent, Ryan is the 12th best forward on this roster. I can see what Canes fans felt so strongly about him being a beneficiary of playing with Skinner as he is really leaching off Neal right now. I think we can do much better than Ryan.
