Also, it would be nice if they could win the home opener for a change as well.

Something along the lines of last years season opening 6-3 win against the Jets. But with less goals against.

Hey can anyone confirm if the Sedins are playing tonight? I heard they didn’t play last game and I’m not sure when the last time a Vancouver team didn’t have Sedins on it, so I’m hoping they play tonight and we can finally put that mystery to bed.

GFG
Posts like this make me want to punch kittens. The fan base is incredibly loyal and dedicated, the way some people talk the team has won 3 Cups in the last 10 year and the fans are over reacting to "one loss".

I obviously want the win but i am expecting a pounding of the Nucks tonight. I do not want the game to ever be in doubt and the Flames to dominate from puck drop to the end of the game.

Exactly, this is the natural result of a buildup of 30 years of frustration, with nothing but one cinderella run 15 years ago and a first round win against a fraud Canucks squad to cheer for. People are understandably starting to get fed up with accepting disappointment.

Here are the team stats from last game.

They should refuse to use him on the PP. We’re only using two defensemen on the two units and Gio, Hanifin, Valimaki, Brodie and Andersson all move the puck better than Stone.

There’s no way they should even consider using Stone on the Pp. All he has is a big slap shot, outside of that he’s far inferior to our actual puck moving dmen.

If the Flames win a couple faceoffs on the PP then we will win the game.

We’re FANS. A lot of fans are really optimistic because it’s fun, and slogging through a persistent stream of ire tends to dampen that. It mystifies me how some feel it necessary to continue to call attention to how miserable we all ought to be.

If the team feels Hamonics stepping up was response enough and they want to look forward then if nothing happens then that’s what was for the best of the team. But how Gudbranson looks at the issue doesn’t matter IMO on how the Flames choose to address it or not address it.

Exactly. Sports is supposed to be an escape from the misery that is the rest of my existence, not a reflection of it.

The best revenge is on the scoreboard. Not just this game but every game from here on out. Wanna cheap shot a rookie? Fine, deal with us running up the score every chance we get.

Theres a time for fighting and I think that aspect of the Gudbranson issue was dealt with. unfortunately, things didn't go the way they should have. Move on, beat the tar out of them on the scoreboard. Plain and simple.

Last year was the first year I didn't have the home opener tickets. Maybe I should stay away tonight.

Not necessarily. Some fans have their emotions tied into each result and some fans take a longer view and realize one game is one game. Some fans are suicidal or think the sky is falling after a loss and others aren’t as hysterical.

Everyone is different. You can’t generalize about all fans
