Worse than Stone to be sure, but capable for the minutes he'd be asked to play.

Problem is he's going to be asked to be physical so he will no doubt hurt the team if he plays. If only for 2 minutes.

As much as I don't mind Stone he looked a bit slow last night and seemed to get exposed a little bit.

Granted he was playing with a rookie who did make a few mistakes (also made some extremely promising plays) but he did look a little flat footed for most of the night.

Physical revenge is not important. Get revenge on the scoreboard. If Hamonic is hurt, dress Andersson

It took one game for someone to take liberties on a young guy. Somebody has to push back. If you never push back, you always get pushed around. Dress Prout, beat the piss out of Gudbranson and hit everything in sight.

For f sakes give Bennett more ice time to bang around, he's the only guy out there that hits a la Ferland...would get the home crowd going too.

May be we should start hitting their young guys hard, and let them chase us around. After the hit on Dube, no one hit Pettersen. Hit him hard and see how the Nux react.

That's a good plan. I like it.

Another good plan would be to have a good PP that scores a bunch a goals so teams think twice about taking liberties that lead to excessive penalties.

Couldve told them that. I mean Czar did net a hat trick on Tkachuks line.... why move him off that line to begin with.

Like I said before the first game 3m has been sliding offensively. Frolik isn't a top 6 RW on most teams.

Dicking around with the 5-on-5 lines is the wrong thing to focus on.

PP killed their game, so show me some changes there. Particularly Neal on PP1 set up for one-timers.

I think Prouts fighting ability is overstated and his hockey skills are understated, based on what I’ve heard.

For sure, but the last thing I would be worries about is that one power play over setting the tone.

Someone did push back. His face is now broken.

I'm not one of the Bennett fanboys, but even I'll admit he could physically make an impact in a games like last night, as was evident against the sharks when he helped them close out a win with the big Kane hit.

If things start to go sideways on sat I think you gotta move him up the line up and give him that opportunity.

Not for lack of trying. Gio stepped up on him and Petterson caught it at the last second.

Similar to the cries of fans around the league to “just hit Gaudreau” it’s not always that easy.

After enough futility hopefully they'll see that they need to put Neal opposite of gaudreau on the PP.

Cross. Ice. One. Timers.
Dammit.

Before this season is out we better see some Jarome-like tee ups out there, or so help me god. We have the players for this.
Use them.

Have to actually gain the zone first.

But yes, all the one-timers. Neal is your shooter, let him shoot.

He looked surprisingly solid to me in preseason. Like Stone with a bit more bite and physicality.

What if Gudbranson beats up Prout too.
What then?
For that matter what if Prout beats up Gudbranson, takes an instigator and the Canucks win the game?
What then?

Hamonic isn't injured for weeks.

Who’s ice time does he deserve to take though? Gaudreau? Nope. Tkachuk? Nope? Dube? Maybe, but Dube still has a lot more offensive awareness than Sam last night so I’d say nope. Bennett-Jankowski-Frolik is a solid 4th line. And I believe I still saw Sam get PP minutes.

I think having the option of having Lindholm take draws is an advantage. Plus Lindholm didn’t look particularly bad with Johnny and Mony, I think we just noticed better play in the 3rd because everyone was finally playing like they gave a damn.
