this team used to always dress an enforcer and they were nothing but liabilities. This team always lost. There is no empirical evidence to suggest they make a team play better
this is the first year i can remember the Flames not actively carrying a paperweight in the lineup. Let's watch it unfold and make observations after more than just 1 period.

I don't fully agree with Burke. If the flames have a PP, they score and the canucks need to back down.
Instead, we see the same idiotic flames PP doing the bump back 6 times in a PP and don't generate anything.
If the flames don't have a PP, then get the skill out, and the goons in to protect your teammates.
If i'm the canucks i'm playing as nasty as i can, there's no real push back coming from the flames, and their PP is a joke so who cares.

Dube took a borderline hockey hit which happens. There was no reason for retribution. Hamonic should realize that it's bad for your brain to take punches to the face. I get what he was doing but it was dumb. Just play hockey.

Fighting a guy is ####ing worthless.
God, I'm just so angry about how this is playing out.
There is a way you can play in response to a play like that. you absolutely HAVE to protect your teammates, and Dube is the team's most vulnerable player, and he happened to be in an extremely vulnerable position.
Guys who aren't physical need to put the knitting needles away here and grib the sticks and show up for their teammate.
Where is the pushback? You don't need to fight a guy, but you need to stop floating out there.
The team looks weak.
