Default TSN preview

Just watching it now and almost turned it off during the first segment of the Leafs being bonifide contenders.

"They'll score 300 goals" Thunders Ray Ferraro while spilling his drink on the table.

"That power play man, its unstoppible" ejaculates Bob McKenzie

"Who cares about their blue line baby, they'll score their way to the Stanley Cup Jeff Oneil confidently screams while the buttons on his blazer fire off and hits a camera man in the eye blinding him.

"This team is going to be historical" said some other dude as he buries his teeth in a donut.

Gag, this is a team that needs to fail.

TSN predicts Oilers miss playoffs and Flames make playoffs.

Only part of the preview that matters

They've put the bar so high that they can't possibly reach it.

Taking away a 36 goal scorer and adding a 37 goal scorer isn't ####ing dimension altering. So wooed by the on paper lineup that they're now dismissing the importance of being able to defend to winning a championship. Really grounded takes there, boys.

It's going to be fun watching the two circuses implode in on themselves this season.

Huh, the preview panel predicted that the Oilers are going to finish 4th in the pacific and make the playoffs, the Flames in third.

That's after a preview where they called the Oilers new coaching staff idiots for running the same pp as last year with all left hand shots and calling the puck moving ability of their blueline dog poop.

The TSN crew is still a million times better than Sportsnet.

That's a little "Canadian team" pandering, but not a horrible pick for Stanley Cup winner. I could see it coming altogether for them as much as any other contender.

Yah just saw Flames getting 3rd and heard them say Oilers don't make earlier in the show..

Then saw their board had them as a wildcard.

I can agree with this. He's atrocious and also a 50 year grown ass old man calling himself o dog. It's like something you'd see on a curb or Seinfeld episode.

Toronto's forward lineup is scary deep even without Nylander, and Anderson is a legit #1. Centre ice is the most important position outside of goaltending, and the Leafs ice Tavares, Matthews, and Kardi. If you put that lineup in Flames jerseys, I'b be contacting my doctor about an erection that lasts more than 4 hours.

Being a Flames fan doesn't require you to be blinded to other teams' attributes.

No mention of their defense, which is the main point raised so far? No one is blinded about their attributes.

Zach Hyman — Auston Matthews — William Nylander
Patrick Marleau — John Tavares — Mitch Marner
Andreas Johnsson — Nazem Kadri — Kasperi Kapanen
Josh Leivo — Par Lindholm — Connor Brown

Other than Kadri, the bottom six just look like a bunch of dudes. Didn't we see this play out in Calgary last year? They do have a better group at centre, especially if Lindholm is up to Par.

Both Kapanen and Brown are very skilled depth guys Leivo has talent as well.

Leafs are a skilled team but i just don't see the beating Boston, Tampa, Pens and the Caps. I don't see there Stars grinding out a physical playoff series against those teams.

Denying they're bonifide contenders requires being blinded to their significant attributes

Was quite disappointed during their fantasy draft special that not one Flames player was selected through 11 Rounds!!!

Kapanen is very fast and pretty skilled, and Brown is a pretty complete two-way forward, I wouldn't call either of those two just "dudes". Johnsson's an interesting if unproven prospect and Lievo's solid. Lindholm seems to be the biggest question mark and I'm sure they can survive long enough to pick up a decent 4C in trade.
