Default Cool band you've recently stumbled upon...

I'd have to say a group of lads from the 'Peg appropriately titled:
Electro Quarterstaff

Three guitarists and one drummer. That's it. No vocals.

I won't begin to describe them other than if you are a guitarist or if you are into the differing forms of 'extreme' Metal (or even Metal in general) you should check 'em out. The title of their latest disc, Gretzky, is kinda cool too.

YES! Wolf Like Me is my current favorite song. I heard about 10 seconds of it on an episode of CSI:Miami and had to track it down the next day.

Excellent beat.

Shiny Toy Guns is pretty cool too. I really like "Starts With One". Would be cool to mix with a Flames highlight video.

If you are into blues at all, check out Amos Lee. www.amoslee.com.

His voice is unreal.

Not something I've just stumbled across but likely my fave from the past few years, Twilight Singers.

In another music thread recently someone mentioned Silversun Pickups. I love this song, saw them sing it on David Letterman.

That "We're from Barcelona" song is one of the catchiest things I've heard in a while.

I heard "Yours to keep" on a virgin mobile commercial and listen to it a lot.
