Anaheim is a team that definitely frustrates me with their come backs every year. Plus having the duo of Kesler, Perry which I can't stand either.
But imo, I think Getzlaf is one of the best leaders a team could have. And just as good a player. I think the swagger they play with, helps boost their young player's confidence. And regrettably I think Kesler help with that as well.
That old saying, "Nice guys finish last" has merit. Although I'd say it's more guys with extreme confidence in themselves that gives them that edge. And I think Calgary could do with a lot more swagger. We got Tchuky, and Neal will also bring some of that. Would love to see some more of that from Mony, and Johnny and Gio. They got every right to show some swagger, but it's more of a personality characteristic.
Same with Toews, and Kane. You could here that confidence when they talk. And see it in how they carry themselves.
That's why I found Jerome played better when he got into the rough stuff, and got a lil bent out of shape.

Looks like he's not cleared for contact:

Woohoo! Guess when he comes back, Tkachuk can test those hips out and put him out indefinitely!

I'll be thrilled when Kesler is out of the league without a cup to show for it, but not like that

Corey Perry is awesome. The only issue I've got with him is that he's not dirty enough.

That’s a comment I expect on an Oilers board, not here. I’m disappointed many agree with you.

Sorry dad.

I don't understand this high and mighty attitude on a hockey fan message board.. Do you think Perry is going to read this and tear up?

He's an ###### on the ice and wishing an injury or reveling in it is fine. I don't think anyone here is wishing that he dies or has some kind of disease.. but knee surgery? Come on.

Hope rehab doesn't work well for him and he calls it a career tbqh

I won't miss him.

The Ducks have a very sub par forward group this season but unfortunately their defence and goaltending will likely be enough to get them to the playoffs.
