Valimaki - Stone?
Bennett - Jankowski - Czarnik?
Dube - Ryan - Neal?

I like all of those things.

Yeah that doesn't look THAT crazy to me except Dube playing with Ryan and Neal which is pretty cool. Valimaki and Stone is interesting Too

btw, I was able top stream the last game from the CGY website from here in california with no fancy additions. There was an outage through most of the first period, but the rest of the way, it worked fine.

I am intrigued by this.

Have Dube and Valimaki made the opening night roster...or is this just giving them one last game before they get sent down and we see Mangiapane and Kulak/Andersson replace them in the lineup for Saturday's game and for game 1.

This sure screams to me that they want to give Dube and Valimaki all the rope they need to hang themselves.

Can't ask for more than that from a hockey team.

I'm curious if they have the leg up, or if we see Mangiapane and Andersson get an equal chance on Saturday (Andersson playing the off wing).

Nervous times for Lazar, Hathaway and Kulak.

I personally think Andersson is closer to being NHL ready but I wonder if they're skeptical about him on the left side. Also curious if we see him this weekend.

Either way, both him and Valimaki have impressed me more than Kulak so far

Gillies is the backup tonight, which I think may also be telling.

Why not both?

Valimaki - Andersson

Stone as 7th

3rd line vs 3rd line should be interesting tonight

CGY really intrigues me - they weren't as good as they should have been the last couple of years. I think Neal may be just what this bunch needed.

Do you see something in there that is unrealistic? Those lines look great to me.

All the rope they need to hang themselves? Gotta say Bingo that’s some funny wording lol.

The Flames could also keep 8D, give Valimaki some games, then send him/Kulak down for a forward?

Forward lines look like ones that could stick, or have some minor shuffling of RW spots.

Almost suggests they are now looking at making four lines that can score due to the Dube/Czarnik pop in camp.

Sorry I was responding to the “Peters trying something different tweet”. Apparently that was wrong.

Agreed. Only one natural centre on the second line with tonight's line up, and no right shots, while the fourth line has three natural centres. Swapping Czarnik with Frolik would balance the faceoff skills between the lines. The only problem is that it would leave the fourth line with three left shots.
