Everytime I see it posted, I have to sit and listen to it for the full 12 minutes. Pure genius.

I would love to see Scorch reintroduced. They could make a film showing the story of his life and the one big mistake that he made that landed him in prison. Time has moved on and Scorch has paid his debt to society and is ready for life on the outside... although a part of him has been changed forever by the prison system... (he now has a scar on his face and isn't quite so smiley).

It should look like a Trail Park Boys season opener where they are getting out of prison with big ideas...

I was looking forward to seeing him in Stockton (since I live in sacramento and see a game or two in stockton every year)

Come on. While Gritty is scary no mascot on earth is more terrifying than the baby-eating hell cat in Edmonton.

He shot a man with a t-shirt cannon in front of ~20,000 people.

That takes balls. Hunter, if the Oilers are responsible pet owners, is neutered and ergo is unlikely to be in possession of testicles.

Agree wth posters calling for “Full-On Heel Gritty”, like “Evil Doink” from the WWF. When he was a mean clown who popped kids’ balloons with a cigar, he was awesome. When he was fan-friendly, he sucked.

Let Gritty stagger around with a cigarette hanging out of his face, clutching a bottle of malt liquor in his left hand so that his right hand remains free to smack people out of his way in the concourse and/or flip the bird at the jumbotron.

I’ve got nothing bad to say about Gritty. He is perfection.

How would you then differentiate him from the rest of the Flyers fans?

Copycat. The Phanatic blasted a woman square in the face with a hot dog cannon earlier this year.

In terms of soccer mascots though, a shoutout to West Broms "Boiler Man"!

I forgot about Boiler man.

I really missed my calling designing mascots. It seems like something anyone with some free time can accomplish rather easily.

Is there some sort of disgustingly-wealthy 'Secret Mascot Fan Cabal' that just approves some of the dumbest crap ever because they love mascots that much?

It seems like there must be. Because nobody whose living was actually on the line would say 'Yes' to most of these ideas. They'd more likely be met with some raised eyebrows and a phone call to the local pub informing them that whomever was responsible was cut off.

I got bored and pictured a Philadelphia legend greeting the interloper the only way he knows how:

I've seen that at least 20 times and will probably see it many more over the years. Such a classic
