Rittichs positioning is much calmer, smoother than Gillies. I have more confidence in him.

I was just thinking about this. How many of the players in tonight's game are expected to be on their opening roster?

New helmet for Rittich? Might be the nicest Flames one right now.

Me as well. They both have their moments where bad goals go in, but Rittich's demeanor has a calming effect on the team, whereas Gillies is more frantic and thus the team tends to be more panicky in front of him.
Besides which, Rittich has already shown that he can be a good backup last year. Just don't ask him to be the starter, and he'll be fine.

Too many to call themselves an NHL team. A dearth of talent in the organization.

gotta say, like this petterson kid a lot. Really good at holding on to the puck. You can tell he's going to be a good one.

I started coming up with a list, but quickly realized a bunch of players I thought had no chance are probably going to make the team.
They're going to be baaaaaaaaaaaaad.

I think Janko's prediction of 2 or 3 SHGs this season certainly has a chance to come true.

The defence is playing really well for not having Gio Brodie Hanifin Hamonic

What was the right play there? Should Stone have given his stick to Rittich?

kylington has done a lot to increase his stock this preseason for me. Looks really solid, with a lot of potential.
I see a lot of Brodie (the good one) in his game to be honest.

Maybe I should actually answer the question:
Boeser
Sutter
Gagner
Gaunce
Leipsic
Gaudette
Beagle
Pettersson???
Motte???
Tanev
Edler
Stecher
Pouliot???
Nilson
Demko???
That's actually a lot of opening night players, and they look downright awful.
