I'm not going to put a ton of weight on this one.
The Flames looked good for 2.5 periods, but I think that falls mostly on the Jets' lack of interest.
Look like the Heat might have some pretty good depth this year.

It's only preseason and the skill differential was huge but it's just so Flames to lose like this

Yes the preseason is a good measuring stick for the Jets regulars. Flames played exactly like a bunch of guys playing hard for spots good to see.

Dube actually took the bad penalty to eventually cost them the tying PP goal, then blew the zone early in OT giving the Jets a 3 on 2 for the easy winning goal

It's pre-season and Parsons did his part. I'm certain the plan was always to give Glass a period.
Either way. Parsons looked great.
Dube should make the team.
Some of the PTO guys were solid.

Sure but when will the staff have another opportunity to see Parsons in that sort of situation vs that kind of competition? And for Parsons to face that sort of talent?
And no disrespect to Glass, but who gives a rat’s a**?

The Jets NHLers were floating all game until the last couple minutes. All the AHL guys were going gangbusters around them and looked almost equal. Chalk it up to what it is. Pre-Season.
Standouts from our side were Parsons, Dube, Robinson?, Valimaki.
Standard preseason stuff except for Robinson.

Couldn’t care less about the end result given its was Stockton vs 75% Winnipeg including their Vezina nominated starter. As long as we still have young guys continuing to impress that’s all I’m looking for. It’ll be an absolute crime if Dube doesn’t make the opening night roster. What more can he do? Parsons continues to look good and might’ve been able to steal this one if he played a full game. Gotta think some cuts are coming with the main team back from China.

lol worked up. no.
But I agree with your premise, Flames had to give Glass some minutes just for hanging out.

I liked the tenacity that all the flames prospects/ptos/tweeners played with today. Sucks that they couldn't close it out but they were up against an NHL lineup and controlled the majority of the game. Overall I'm happy with what I saw.

Best get the number for crimestoppers on speed dial because I expect he won’t with all the depth. I would expect he follows the same path as Jankowski. He might be the first callup when there is an injury. He’ll work his way into the lineup at some point but in the meantime playing 20+ in Stockton won’t hurt in my view.

Probably a compliment considering he was a 2nd overall pick?
