Flames Flames win 3... no, 4-1 over the Canucks

Dillon Dube is awesome.

Oh wait, sorry I know this is kinda last-minute, but Juuso Valimaki is cool too.

Both goaltenders had very good games. Dube another great game. Solid all over the ice. Looking foward to seeing what he can do against NHL calibre competition.

Dube with another gem of a game. His dynamic skating and ability to create something out of nothing might be second only to Johnny. He might not start the season as a Flame, but he better finish the season as a Flame because we could really use his high end skill for the most important games of the season.

Keep Dube-Bread intact on the 4th line. They're really good. If only we had more than 1 spot legitimately up for grabs.

Man if Parsons can just settle down the overall game a little bit at the pro level, he does have ability to make the 10 bell saves when called on. His athleticism may pay off. I've liked all his outings.

Can we all agree now, with no exaggeration or hyperbole that Dube is the GOAT?

dube was the best player on the ice. exciting player with his speed, skill, vision, and work rate.

phillips improves every time i watch him. he's finding more and more ways to impact the game compared to training camps past. plays fast. hope the trend keeps up.

valimaki looked good. he's more offensive minded than i remember, and his in zone defense is better than i remember also. has all the tools and plays a polished game. ollas matson played really well next to him, and the pair worked much better than valimaki-pto pairings tried before.

really liked zavgorodny's game. he was a monster on the forecheck and won improbable battles against guys like gudbranson. nice hands and made some plays too. have a feeling he will have a big year in the q.

let's hope that pre-smith injury rittich is back and better than ever. parsons reminds me of thomas when he first broke in to the league: every save is an adventure, very entertaining, but a little quietness might be better for my blood pressure

Put his jersey in the rafters. In all rinks.

Any guesses on what Dube's real number ends up being? I'm going to guess 39.

Well its not like the Flames had any NHLers playing.

Dube and Rittich are the only players likely to get games this year.

Both lineups were rookie camp material. At least the Flames got to practice the whole getting off the bench to celebrate twice. Coaches should be happy as the 2nd celebration was cleaner.

Rittich much better, but still a bit shaky at times. Can’t complain after pitching a shutout for two periods though. He did what he had to do and now needs to keep getting better. Thought Parsons looked good as well. Goalie coach will need to get him to settle down a bit and hopefully he can have a real solid year of development in the AHL.

Dube continues to be a beast. What a pass on the shorty. Kid is just a great hockey player and thinks the game so well. Can’t wait to see how he does against tougher competition as we continue through preseason. Not going to say right now he has a spot on the opening lineup, but he’s making a strong case. If he can keep it up he’ll give the flames management a lot to think about. I can see him being this years Jankowski. Being sent down to start, but eventually getting the call.

Liked Phillips game tonight. Good to see as he’s failed to stand out at previous camps. He seems to be getting better every game. Still a ways to go and definitely curious to see how he continues to progress this season in the minors. Valimaki was solid. Couple miscues, but those will come with experience. I feel he’s close. Thought AOM was really solid too. Just solid defensively all night. Hopefully he can stay healthy this season and impress this season in Stockton. I’m just so torn on Kylington. You can see the talent, but he always leaves me wanting more from him. Maybe I’m just being to critical of him. Just never seems to stand out enough for me.

Dube reminds me so much of Daymond Langkow. Not the best at any one thing, but is able to do everything at a high level and is extremely smart at both ends of the ice. Could develop into a quality top six forward. Would not be shocked if he becomes a vital part of the team moving forward.

Yeah I know...happy with the game. Some people are getting ahead of themselves though. Like saying Dube is the 2nd most skilled guy on the team because he played well against mostly AHL players.
