Anyone remember when they first introduced the retros back in 2009/10 (for the Flames 30th anniversary)? My brain was literally on overload seeing Loob, Peplinski and Sheehy out there instead of Iginla, Conroy and Giordano...

I remember. For the first time in three years, they looked like their sweaters didn't come from Canadian Tire. I thought they'd have to be the dumbest organization in sports to not go with these full time, if not now then at least for the playoffs, and subsequently full time next year.
Flags. Blue flags on a red jersey. Piping. Always with the piping. Even the wordmark thirds knew better than to have ####ing piping. They could've called Reebok or Adidas at any point in the last seven years, said 'hey man, can you send us one without piping? Yeah keep the flags. And the numbers. Just no piping. Thanks.'
Nope. #### you, fans. The commercial was right - we sure don't wear red because you guys made such cool shirts.

For some reason, the player that kept happening with for me was Backlund and wanting to call him Patterson.
I think every time they wore those, I'd make the joke, "Why's Jamie Macoun in goal?"

I would like to see something just black and red without the gold. I really like the 2-colour combinations. Black shoulders and trim with red being the dominant colour as to not interfere with the C of Red.

As long as it doesn't have the Alberta flag on it anywhere, I'll likely buy one. I love my team and province but that flag doesn't belong on any jersey that we wear.
