Dube reminds me of a more skilled Backlund. Fast, responsible and hardworking.

He’s going to be a good one, we don’t need to rush him at all.

Oh come on. You know how CP can be. People would love to rush any young player with clear talent into the league as soon as possible. Get rid of anyone over 25. That crowd.

I was thinking the same thing. Surprisingly good defensively for his age.

The PK is looking really good tonight. It's always good when you can outchance the other team when they're a man up.

I agree, it's not an unpopular opinion. I will be surprised if he makes the team, and not just because there's some strong competition. He's hopefully not at his peak yet, and no reason to throw him to the sharks to learn right now.

And as for another player I was watching closely tonight: I was hoping for more from Zavgorodniy after a strong prospect camp. I don't know if it's just how this game has gone, but he's been pretty invisible. I'm a little disappointed.

Someone needs to tell Garrett that Millions doesn't work there anymore.

Haha, I think Shorthouse was trying.
Shorthouse: "Think he'll be at a pre-season game... as a fan?"
Garrett: "A fan?!"

This time our guys cover the passing lanes and getting tight in front of Rittich. Results in fast breakouts where they can use their speed to fullest. Much better game tonight, I am enjoying it a lot. Ehliz is quite impressive.

I've noticed a couple of mistakes. The guy who's surprised me in a positive way is Ollas Mattsson.

This is definitely fun to watch. Really impressed with the hustle and speed of some of these guys. Dube obviously is the best player on the ice.
On another note, what happened to Brule? Didn't see him out there much in that period.
