I've always loved those 90s uniforms and really wish that's what we saw today.
I ran out of time to finish it, but the whole idea of this was to predict what the jersey could be once this picture leaked out:

Script wordmark logos with the underscore flourish are better suited for baseball teams/delicatessens.
Maybe as a secondary logo for shoulder patches/fan merchandise like hats and keychains.
Having said that, I just think they're rather plain as far as striping goes. And there's nothing wrong with that. Cleaner, less-cluttered jersey designs allow for the inevitable advertising in the future.
