I would do that in a heart beat if I was Chia. How could you not?

Yeah he actually is their best two-way guy. My Oilers friends think the most of him out of all their dmen. Some of the CPers underrate Nurse and his upside. Dangerous game the Oil are playing

No. It does not.

Nurse is still without a contract, and Yamamoto's ELC is not factored into their cap until he is added to the roster. As it stands the Oilers have $3.98 m of cap space, so in order to acquire Karlsson they must move an additional $600,000. (Pontus Aberg?) This would then leave them with 11 forwards, seven defensemen and two goalies, and less than $100,000 of cap space.

And they lose Karlsson one year later. No way he stays there (even if they somehow come up with cap space to re-sign him).

So some Oilers fans that are bemoaning the lack of a Nurse contract have found some unique source of blame. Apparently Chia overpaid for Koskinen because the cost was driven up by another GM, who they believe was Treliving.

If that is the case, then Treliving needs to be transitioned to full-on wizard status. Not only can he improve our team, he can break our opposition with literally phone calls.

Oh man, I hope that's true. That just means Treliving is even better than we give him credit for.

Default oilers camp roster

Oh my! I've known the Oilers roster was bad but I just saw their camp roster written out and my word is their depth absolutely abysmal. But it's not just roster depth! It's that players like Ty Rattie are listed on your top line, and that you are heading into camp with actual holes still not filled on your roster! I love me some Chia! I think he is doing a fantastic job.

Just saying oilers could have made better offer.

That is all.

It's been pretty common knowledge for the past half decade or longer than pickle boy is considered one of the better defensive dmen in the NHL. He flies under the radar because he doesnt put up huge point totals.

Yeah, the SJ fans partly justified trading away Kipper with the fact that Vlasic came out of it all.
