How come they replaced Rob Kerr with Rick Ball awhile back?

Why did Toronto trade Leeman for Gilmour?

Because Rob Kerr was horrendous as a play by play guy and the team upgraded significantly getting Ball

Morning show immediately worse without Pinder. Will is hard to listen to. Steinberg and Pinder had a great rapport going on the afternoon show. I never used to listen to the afternoon which was pretty flat but I think I will start now.

Pinder has definitely gone up in my books.

Yeah Pinder was the needed balance to the morning show IMO.

Good foil to Rhett and Boomer who have very similar views and takes on things.

Need somebody with a different take and different views on things. Of people currently on their roster I think Klein is the best fit.

Pinder will be in Toronto in a big market with his own show in no time...

I think Bryan Haynes on Toronto TSN1050 Overdrive has been doing the "it's changed my life" bit about that pillow since last year. Steinberg, Pinder and company all like to drop little tid bits about their cars from their sponsors. I expect to hear more of it. Must be doing okay, since I rarely ever hear those self promotion ads 960 used to do about how advertising on 960 can help your business.

Thankfully I don’t think this will be the case. It’s not that he doesn’t have the talent, but I think he doesn’t want to uproot his young family. Plus he’s a Calgary guy who has tonnes of friends/family support for his kids.

Toronto had their chance to grab him for the better part of almost 2 years & they didn’t.

Their loss, our gain.

Agreed. I enjoy Boomer and Warrener's humor...usually. It gets a bit much when there's not a whole lot going on, like now, but during hockey season they're good. Definitely a large void without Pinder though. Hopefully Nault isn't permanent. I've no idea who could fill that role locally, but it's certainly not him. Matt Rose, Kelly Kirsh and Logan whoever he is are even worse.

I do like Pinder on in the afternoon. It makes listening to Steinberg a little easier. Him and Kerr spent way too much time going around in circles chasing each others tails. I think Pinder's talented enough to keep the show moving along smoothly so that they won't need to spend 45 minutes on who should play on Monahan and Gaudreau's line next game.

I always thought the Pinder hour was good as well. He could carry the segment solo quite well. Was able to have good conversations with whoever was on. Has a bit of range with different sports (hockey, golf, baseball, football, etc.) Hes quite knowledable but also can add humor. The morning show is gonna miss him quite a bit i think.

Iv been listening to the morning show every morning for years. The last hour now is the worst it's ever been. Total duds. That crew on hockey central before Pat comes on is just brutal. 960 better get some new talent soon!

It truly is terrible now.

They spent 5 minutes talking about how many games they would go to this year. When Boomer started offering with,

“What’s the number?”

I thought they would discuss the Flames potential home record this year.

Nope.

Time read the Flames coverage in the Athletic & listen to NHL radio on SiriusXM I guess. They have plenty of free daily audio on SoundCloud.

Matt Rose, Kelly Kirsh, and Logan whoever he is are even worse. yep, Matt rose pee's a little with any opportunity to talk NFL football, so I'm convinced he is not a good choice as the backup on hockey central at noon. Just run the white noise of a windmill at 12:00 please

I honestly still enjoy the morning show. I just take it for what it is, gives me a couple laughs every day. Plus it will get more focused once the Flames season actually begins. It never was the serious sports talk portion of the day

I have enjoyed the afternoon with Pat and Pinder though, i am liking their report so far.

Personally i like both the morning show and the afternoon show.

In terms of the morning show, they are just being creative its still the summer and they are filling air time.

New afternoon show in my mind will be really good.

I am curious to know who comes in to the morning show on a permanant basis. Is Will the guy? Or someone new?

The dream scenario would be for Walker to come back, but that ship has sailed.
