too bad about Vardy. Having him as a backup to Kane was luxury.

Southgate has retained 18 of the 23 WC players for his first squad this fall. The five new ones are Joe Gomez, Adam Lallana, James Tarkowski, Luke Shaw and Alex McCarthy; replacing the injured Phil Jones and Nick Pope as well as Ashley Young and the retired Vardy and Cahill.

pretty crazy situation in Denmark. The whole national team has gone on strike because the Danish FA doesn't allow the players to have individual sponsorship deals. Denmark has now been forced to call up players from the third and fourth tiers for their upcoming games against Slovakia and Wales. UEFA has already threatened to punish Denmark if they don't resolve this quickly (theoretically they could ban them from the upcoming Euros).

As it stands, this is their squad for the upcoming games:

it's a new thing the Danish FA wants to enforce. The players offered to extend the old deal from the WC for a month so that they can play the upcoming games and have time to find a new agreement, but the Danish FA declined.

So far no one has the tv rights to the uefa nations league game, which are included in a package with the euro qualifying games as well as next cycles world cup qualifying

Rumor online has dazn picking it up and announcing today or tomorrow for a bunch of countries in europe and maybe canada, hope its true

Surprised tsn and sportsnet havent, i know tsn has the actual tournament but they already lost the champions and europa league, if they lose their half of the PL in the new deal next year, they basically lose european soccer which they made such a push for a few years ago
