Decimates our defense. And we're already small up front. And a potential #1 D has more value than a small scoring winger - especially when your team already boasts a guy named Gaudreau.

Would have been a good addition before the signing of Neal and the acquisition of Lindholm but we don't need him now as bad as we need Hanifin and Brodie.

After the trade with Carolina, the Nylander acquisition ship has sailed.
I’m positive though that a trade would have been worked out with them if Carolina backed out.
But, for argument’s sake, Lindholm + Hanifin >>> Nylander+ for Hamilton + Ferland + Fox.

He's a good player playing in a market that hypes up good players as great and currently plays a brand of river hockey that affords more opportunities to accumulate points.

Gardiner is bleah, like puke.
Nylander is probably looking for about 7 million bucks which is too much for a really good offensive winger who's softer then a role of charmin and doesn't do much without the puck.
Hanifin is the future on this blueline, and I put a lot more value on a 21 year old high ceiling defenseman then I do a what? 23 year old one dimensional soft winger.
Pass no matter what.
