I’m not really complaining, just giving Locke something to whinge about. It’s not specific to this game at all, I just think they should stop the clock like they have adopted in rugby, so that when time expires it’s over at the next stoppage. It’s a gear grinder though, and nothing more.

Couldn't give a ####, just funny to always see Spurs and Liverpool fans celebrating when the calendar hasn't even flipped. Cause yeah, if neither wins anything this year, then Mourinho's disastrous reign at United will still be more successful.

Guess that depends of how you define success. Is it more successful to actually win something, or to see out your contract? Be interesting to see the reply.

Lol. This morning you said all the pressure was on Spurs and they had to win to show they were legitimate title challengers. They come out and win convincingly and now you think supporters are enjoying it too much? I have no idea.

It’s a big victory and for all the issues facing Spurs (most of our own creation!), it feels great. We signed no one, the stadium seems months behind and our captain just spent the night in the slammer. It’s pretty enjoyable not only to get back to games, but to win 3-0 in a place we hadn’t even scored in 4 years.

Where you left the club would be important

Anyone taking over from mourinho has a ton of dead weight and some pissed off players in pogba, martial, and who knows who else

If klopp or pep or poch left tomorrow the clubs are in pretty good places going forward, much better set up for future success

Well we all know Mourinho leaves ash in his wake, but he still usually wins as well. I think the argument could be made that winning nothing and leaving the club in good shape could be viewed as successful, but not more successful than actually winning. Jon Gruden left the Bucs in taters when he was done, yet I'm still not gonna say I wish he was never Bucs coach. That Super Bowl is also the only reason the Bucs aren't considered more embarrassing than the Browns, so winning is still the name of the game.

Anthony Martial is considering signing a new long-term contract at Manchester United because he believes he can outlast José Mourinho at the club. United have offered a new five-year deal to Martial and are hopeful that the Frenchman will sign it even though Mourinho does not want the forward at the club.

Despite the public backing of the board, Mourinho’s position will come under scrutiny if United lose away to Burnley on Sunday to make it three losses in a row.

well that'd certainly be a weird twist of events. Hope it's true.

Honestly though, they should beat Burnley pretty easily. They've looked pretty poor so far, even at home. And yeah, United losing to Brighton doesn't look good, but losing to Spurs isn't exactly all on how bad United was. Tottenham has a good team and played well enough in the first half and then played well in the second half.

I was much more pissed about Mourinhos post-match performance than the actual game. United actually was decent in the first half and should have had the lead (Lukaku and Matic missed sitters). They showed some heart and passion for a change, I was okay with that. The loss was down to Pochettino making adjustments at the half and then a three minute blitz where Kane showed his class and Herrera got exposed at CB. Spurs fully deserved the win, but the result was a bit harsh on United I felt. They certainly weren't outclassed like the result would suggest.

They should beat Burnley, yes, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they half-arsed it again. They always do under Mourinho against weaker teams.

Weird.

Hes banking on outlasting Mourinho to sign a 5-year deal?

And how does he know the next manager won't fancy him even less than Mourinho does? I definitely like Martial as a talent, but he has a strong lazy streak and perhaps a slight sense of entitlement. I mean United's best player was Shaw on Monday, and he obviously was living in the Mourinho doghouse last year, but he's worked hard to earn his place back. Mourinho sees Martial every day, perhaps he just doesn't see the same will.

well it's not like they couldn't sell him in that case.

it's easy to forget how talented he is. Martial was having a great season last year, being voted club player of the match for 3 consecutive times from November to January. It really only fell apart when they signed Alexis and played him over him, despite showing nothing.

Martial has always loved the club, he just hates Mourinho. Might as well sign a new contract if he feels that a coaching change is going to happen soon enough.

Not to mention, if he signs a new contract and it doesnt work out he has basically guaranteed that hes going to get paid one way or another whether it be by United or elsewhere.

So if they're offering him a 5-year on good wages he'd be crazy not to take it.

I'm sure Mourinho is carrying some resentment from his Chelsea days to Shaw stiffing him. He was getting ##### on, unreasonably over the last couple seasons.

I go back to the early season right before he had that scary femur break.. he was looking like a world beater, and was arguably United's best player at the time.

He looks good, & he's in best shape of his career. He might double his wages next summer.

This is why I feel Zidane would really tie the team together.

He may not be a world leader with his tactics, but his man-management is top notch. He also has a pedigree that Pogba, Martial must look up to from their childhood. (assumptive)

I think we all need Big Sam at United. Fellaini will score 30 easily.
