Default Telus commercial of those stupid birds

When I'm watching the flames game on sportsnet, the most annoying commercials show up.

I feel like punching the TV everytime they show that stupid commerical of the flamingo trying to seduce a lawn ornament, then tries internet dating.

Or the stupid panago guy talking to either the bison, his dog, or himself. SHUT UP!! And what's with the hardhat???

On the walk in to work downtown, I saw that Telus has jabbed a whole bunch of pink flamingoes for the taking in various green spaces.

I saw that, too. I was wondering which homeless guy was turning 50 today then I saw the stupid Telus logo all over the place once I got closer.

The best part is that I also saw a guy from the City with a big truck picking them all up to take to the dump.

Stupid Telus.

Really, the commercial is about how cybersex is better than inflatable sex dolls. It's a pretty clear message, I think. But yeah, the flamingo campaign this morning is beyond lame.

I rant about the freakin commerical every time I watch a Flames game. I'm GOING to the game tonight but suspect it will still somehow manage to work itself into my evening.

I swear to God, the Jumbotron is coming down early if they play it on that thing tonight.

I especially enjoy ( and I use the word "enjoy" loosely) how he would berate the dog for bringing him the pizza box upside down. Yes, brilliantly humorous.

Nothing fazes me after they decide to air those Howie Mandel Boston Pizza commercials. I haven't eaten there since those commercials aired.

Hi I'm Howie. I'm not wearing any pants. Deal or no deal?
hahahahaha sucker.

Telus and their stupid animal themed commericials have always bothered me. Apparently the reason they are all animal based is when Telus bought out Clearnet years ago the Telus big wigs loved the Clearnet advertising so much they replaced there existing guys with all the Clearnet guys, who continued in the same vain of the old Clearnet ads with always featured insects and lizards.

Telus advertising clearly works as it is one of the most recognizable brands in Canada. You see a white background and an animal, you automatically think of Telus. The fact that this thread exists proves that Telus' advertising works.

Does anyone want a hippopotamus for Christmas this year? Hippo sales rose drastically last year. Wanna guess why?

This is true. The sad part is the Clearnet animal commercials were good. They continued to make good ones after Telus bought them, but how long has it been since that acquisition? It must be close to 8 years. I think it might be time to find a new concept.

Yep I am obvoiusly not in the majority most people seem to like the commericials.

But as for being one of the most recognizable brands in Canada, I disagree with that. Maybe western Canada, out here in the east Telus isnt very recognizable at all.

Eek!! telus cheerleader to the rescue. I want to know why telus switched to that stupid system to check voicemail. I know they want to ding us for every minute but it's ridiculous.

I'm porting my number out in April.

No one is saying the commercials aren't effective. However, the commercials have grown to annoy us, and that's what our gripe is.

yes, it's true we can change the channel, but I feel annoyed doing so everytime that commercial comes on.

And the Panago commercial has made me a non customer for life.

Wendy's still has the worst commercials by far. At least they got rid of Mr. Wendy's.

What Africa sold more hippo's to Canada ever since that commericial? I hope these people who bought these hippo's don't mistreat the animal like the zoo or whatever it was from in Vancouver did.

Best commercial on TV is the Raisin Bran commercial thats been brought back from like 1982 or whatever. I remember seeing that watching gameshows at home as a kid. Who would think that there would be a vending truck selling nothing but raisin bran, let alone in the middle of nowhere on a loggin road where theres like one logger who's up his 59th tree and about 3 other people within a 50 mile radius. Apparently money was easy to make in 1982. Brilliant!!!!

Ha ha. I guess I was a pretty thick child because I never even thought it was odd that their would be a Raisin Bran truck.

They were talking about that commercial on the radio the other day for like 10 minutes. They had a Kellog's advertising guy on there and everything. It seems to have worked. He didn't know where the actor who plays McGee has gotten himself too though so no sequel coming.

This is probably the first of a trend. Where's the Beef?

Yes I remember that last year, my doughters would both sing that bloody song everytime it came on last year and they both wanted one under the tree. It was impossable to find any kind of hippo toy last year.
I think they were trying to do that again this year with the flamingos and the monkeys that move around the boxes.
I am glad that neither one cought on this time.

I hate all telus commercials as they are the same all the time. White background - check, Abused animal walking around amlessly - check, annoying music - check. Good job boys another commercial in the can.

Absolutley, that commerical is a trip down memory lane for sure! And you have to admit, that is a pretty catchy tune for a cereal commercial.

59th tree, lol.....
