Default Flames # Season Tix? More or less than 15,000?

I read the Oilers have 15k season tickets vs 18.5k total seats. Does anyone know the Flames ratio? Do they mention it in those info sessions? Just wondered if we are higher/lower. Always want to be better than Edm.

I think the Flames capped it at around 16,000 back in the day, but that may also be from before they offered the upper 300s as season tickets. Odds are the ratio is pretty close to the same as the Oilers.

Is it better or worse to have more season ticket holders?

Depends on if the Oilers have more season ticket holders or not.

Season tickets cost less than singles...

So, for smaller markets and mediocre teams, more season ticket holders is better, because the alternative is the ottawa senators where there is a lot of empty, unpaid for seats, which make no revenue.

However, for large market teams that are competitive, less season ticket holders is better, because it allows for more seats to be sold at face-value, which generates higher revenue.

Of course, the sweet spot is the leafs where they take advantage of the high demand to force season ticket holders to buy Raptor tickets.

Yeah I believe there once was a highly decorated GM that knew a lot about winning and had a few rings in the jewelry box who once noted that tier 1 fans are more important than tier 2 fans.

Its guaranteed income, so to me it would be better. Usually when a team sucks a season ticket holder who is still committed will just simply not show up or give games away. There's also usually a waiting list.

With single game tickets, if the team sucks they're the first ones to go unsold.
