In non-deadline news, Lourdes Gurriel Jr., will be out weeks rather than days after bruising left knee and spraining left ankle. #BlueJays Hasn't been placed on DL yet but sounds like that's coming.

I have heard conflicting reports. I also heard he couldn’t be trade waived until after he comes off DL

Gurriel was put on the 10 day DL. It’s encouraging that it was only a sprain and not any serious ligament damage.

Clippard is starting? I really don't get the thinking behind this. Wouldn't moving Garcia back into the rotation make more sense? I know he is terrible but at least he can give you some innings. Better yet call up Pannone, Paulino, or Reid Foley.

Probably a bullpen game. Screw you Tampa Bay for making this a thing now.

It'll be 4 and 2/3rds of an inning.

It's an important distinction...

In all seriousness it'll probably be 2 or maybe 2 plus an out if he has the platoon advantage on the next batter.

That was both the most Jays thing ever and the most Mariners thing ever.

Reasons to be optimistic about the future: Ryan Borucki.

His WHIP of 1.43 is a little concerning but his FIP of 2.5 is pretty encouraging. Small sample size aside!
