Loaned to DEL.

Half joking here.... Would that count against the cap if he were to play overseas?

Being able to play 3rd line minutes on an NHL team. Won't be here unfortunately.

icon57 What constitutes a successful year...

Hmm, Troy Brouwer is still the only true legit right shooting right winger the Calgary Flames have, who knows, maybe he has a chance to create a higher place in the line-up for himeself under new coaches, perhaps even be a trigger man paired up with one of the playmakers...

Gaudreau - Monahan - Brouwer
Neal - Lindholm - Brouwer
Tkachuk - Ryan - Brouwer
Frolík - Backlund - Brouwer

This is joking right?

Did you watch a single shift of his last year?

His problem here was that he didn't produce and didn't play the game he was known for. He was soft.

If one of these re-appears he will be good enough. Overpaid, but at least a decent player.
Well in his defense he had a broken face. He couldn’t be overly tough

He doesn't have an NMC. He, beginning this season, has a modified NTC.

Gaudreau, Monahan, Lindholm, Backlund, Tkachuk, Frolik, Ryan, Neal, Bennett and Jankowski are all clearly better players. That leaves 2 forward spots for Troy and he’s competing with Czarnik, Quine, Lazar, Mangiapane, Foo, and more. IMO, he has to will his way onto the team with grit and I don’t think he has the heart to do so.

Yeah, unfortunately his contract is what will keep him on this team if Treliving can't find a trade partner of some kind.

I would agree it probably makes the most sense for a couple of reasons.

However, if he isn't bought out can we please not #### on Brouwer in every thread all season?

Does eating popcorn from 200 feet above the ice make for good highlight videos?
