It's too long for me to listen to today - any specific revelations? Or more just perspective stuff?

I think its still going.

Gotta love Conny but 'concise' is not his forte.

What? It means strength in that context... am I missing something?

Great interview! Mostly Connie's own revelations in his post NHL career.

Retells how he started in the NHL.
His own progression as a player.
Differences between then and today's NHL.
How things changed for him once he joined management, but also realizing you want to support players in the way that you were or better (i.e tells Johnny contact story; how sending players down or trading them are the worst conversations, etc).
Stories of 2004 run.
Goals of new season, etc.

It's a long interview, but I love this kinda format - highly entertaining because it's not just all fluff. Conroy is a great story teller and is a details-oriented, big picture guy (if that even exists in the world). Glad he's on our management team.

My day has 24 hours. I'll gladly use 1.5 to listen to a Conroy interview.

I remember when Craig retired, I did a tribute video to him, and I found an interview clip from his highschool team, and he was the exact same guy as he is now.

And in that year’s worth of information you will be seriously overqualified to be part of the Edmonton Oilers management team.

Thanks for sharing. Listening now and Conroy's talking about how he's liked things from all of his bosses (Feaster, Burke, Treliving) and would want to build a structure using things he's learned from everyone. I wonder when he'll start to get offers from other teams for a GM role?
