Great tournament. Sad ending. I could hear the raw sadness in my Dad's voice when I left to go home. Sigh. It will hurt for a bit but this tourney has surpassed 98 and will be a beacon for future Croatian footballers. So proud of the team.

Many will complain about the ref, it seems like the Croatian keeper gets a free pass. He had a shocker.

France clearly had the best squad coming into the tournament, but most of us just didn't believe Deschamps would get it right. So I guess credit to him, they often didn't look as good as we thought they should, but they did enough to take the trophy. Unfortunate end for Croatia, the better team for most of the game, but just no luck tonight.

That being said though, they played a hell of a tournament. Cant complain, France was just too strong for the entire field and are going to be deserving winners, it sucks that it has to be at Croatia's expense, especially with how this game went, but they can hold their heads high, they acquitted themselves well.

Could have got to the third one, but was screened pretty badly. Tough to blame him for that one.
The fourth one tough, wasn’t screened, wasn’t kicked too hard. Easily could have reacted after the kick was made, and made an save. Then he didn’t move.

As far as memorable moments in the final I can’t say I will remember this one. The last 3 finals have all had incredible endings. Feel a bit underwhelmed with this one but France could care less. They got their trophy and deserve it. 20 years since their last.
