But they have done what they had to and are now in the semi finals.

Also don’t think their win over this Sweden team is getting enough credit. Sweden beat Italy in the playoff, had a good group stage, and then beat a strong Swiss side in the round of 16. They weren’t pushovers and England easily handled them and gave up nothing.

Also that Anti-Football take is horrendous. They have not parked the bus at all and have tried to play an attacking style for most of the tournament. Terrible take.
The anti football stuff is just ridiculous

Colombia were playing a back 4 and 3 dms, and its englands fault the game didnt get any rhythm?

Theu have pushed high with wing backs, had 2 midfielders join kane and sterling in attack every game, and have created better chances than the other teams by a fair margin in every game

An actual ad campaign in England right now and just saw this shared in Facebook

Cases of Domestic Violence go up 26% when England play, and 38% if they lose.

That’s a sad metric.

Critically thinking, do you think such a stat would be isolated to England? Or are they forward enough to actually publish it.

You don’t have to answer.

Isn't England famous for soccer hooliganism though? I doubt these kind of stats exist for Canadian hockey.

80s and 90s, yes. Lot less these days.

In any case, that's a sad stat.

Perhaps not for hockey, but sadly another Canadian sport, as local as our own backyard.

Hoping for Croatia tonight. Not just because I really like their team, but also because of the political tension between Russia and England.

But hey, so far this WC has been as perfect as I could have imagined. France, Belgium and England all making the semis while Germany, Brazil and Argentina crash out early ... just glorious.

Commentator said they were shadow boxing.

They need to speed things up, more balls into the box.
