I watched quite a bit of it. It's nice that he won, but his game has not evolved at all (and I guess is probably not capable of evolving at this point). He will never beat top players and will remain a gatekeeper, barring a lucky draw break....

I guess you gotta apply the opponent qualifier, but Roger had a perfect serving set (20/20) and has dropped only 7 out of 51 points on serve for the match against Lacko. In the past few years the Federer serve has emerged as perhaps the all-time greatest weapon in the sport, when he's rolling like this the opponent can't even breathe

I read that the streak lasted 35 points on serve...that's nearly 9 service games in a row without dropping a single point. is that close to a record of some sort? I'd imagine one of those giants like Karlovic has it, but this has to be up there.

Second time this year Woz has been 5-1 down in the deciding set and got back on serve. She won Aussie, so....

On the bright side, he can regale his grand kids with stories of how he played the best ever at Wimbledon. That's not so bad.

Finished watching Strokes of Genius and I was blown away. Such a tremendous documentary, about the 08 Wimbledon final and the rivalry between Rafa and Roger. It's a must watch for any sports fan, their rivalry IMO is the greatest sports rivalry in my lifetime. The craziest part is the story isn't finished as they both continue to dominate the sport 10 years later.

Oh Genie. She was up 5-2 in the 2nd looking to even the match at 1-1 and then lost 5 straight games.

What happened?! I turned it on when I got up and that was the score, then I got ready for work and when I checked again she’s done???

She played one loose service game (that 5-2 lead is a bit deceptive as Genie was up just one break) and then Barty closed it out (although Genie did save four match points). Genie will be disappointed by this loss, but I thought she played well, much better than what I was expecting to see to be honest. Put it this way, she doesn't look like the #188 ranked player in the world.
