There will certainly be a red card, but I've seen enough of these that it'll probably be England.

This is becoming unwatchable. Maguire should be booked for the dive there.

England should just stay calm. They are in control. Let Colombia implode, the way they are playing. This is pathetic display by Colombia

I hope Colombia can get it back and take this to extra time because that would just be a complete circus.
I cant remember the last time I watched a game this bad.
This is brutal.

Cuz it's dead as crap at work and I'm watching it on my comp. But it's like the olympics for most people here in North America. Only watch a few games every 4 years.
Because when you have hockey and real football as a choice over here why would anyone watch 2 teams of Alex Burrows on a weekly basis. haha!

What an embarrassing game. Yeah soccer is the most popular sport in the world but games like these show how pathetic it is at times. It’s pretty sad whole world enjoys athletes arguing to a ref for 45 mins in a game.

The penalty kick rules could use an update too. Infractions that are unlikely to have prevented goals decide too many games. I don't know what the solution is though.

Would make sense to follow up the best game of the tournament yesterday with the worst game of the tournament today. Should have replaced the ref at halftime.

They need a secondary penalty shot mark. Keep the existing one for scoring opportunity issues (reds) and less severe infractions in the box get the farther point. Make it similar to hockey PP efficiency (25-30%) so its not a sure thing like current penalties basically are.

i think that's too complex, how about just not fouling people in the box

Why not a permanent offside line like in hockey? Less chance of human error by the refs on the sidelines.

Nothing the ref can do. When a South American team wants to turn a game nasty, there's very little a ref can do other just resort to doling out yellows and reds. And then they will claim he lost control and that's why all the cards came out.
It's a no-win situation. And a COL coach barging into Sterling at halftime just cements the fact that they are just trying to bring the game into the gutter. They are without their best player, so you know going in they were going to do this if it looked like England were taking it to them.
This happens A LOT with S.A. teams. Very cynical most of the time.
