New years eve plans and suggestions
Ok guys, I searched for this but the last thread I found ended before Dec 31 last year.
So this year I am wondering what everyone is doing and maybe if anyone has advice as to a semi-formal event to attend. I am thinking of the Thomas Lynch Devonian Gardens one but for $63 he doesn't give you anything, not even champagne at midnight.
Where is everyone going and does anybody have suggestions?

Do something that doesn't involve taking a cab because if you depend on taking a cab, you are staying home.

Well my buddies and I are in the process of planning this as well. Most parties will run you anything from 40-65 bucks.
And Rouge has the best point of all...cabs will be all but non-exsistant on New Years...which will affect MANY people's plans.
@CBE...message me, we will discuss our plans.

A) Drink
B) Go to the hockey game (thanks again Tron!)
C) Drink more
D) Walk to Coyotes cause it's close
E) Get drunker
F) Puke
G) Go home
I've picked Coyotes as it's within walking distance of the Dome, tickets are only $25 and I can walk home from there. However, plans may change as we find out how cold it will be...

I've got the exact same plan as you except for D. I will be walking to Cowboys since I can get in free there. I hate paying $5 cover to any bar let alone $25

Do not go to the Thomas Lynch this year. I went two years ago when it wasn't really well known. I was able to get tix at 430pm on NYE. It was the best NYE party I've ever been to
But then next year, when everyone heard what a great party TL throws, his tickets were sold out by early December. And he still oversold so for those that didn't get there by 930, didn't get into the party till after the countdown
I am guessing this year will be like last year

Oh he'll find out the hard way, don't you worry.
btw if you haven't booked accomodations at Tofino yet take a look at the villas at Pacific Sands. I went during the lockout and it was amazing.

Tofino is amazing, its so much fun especially in the summer. You need to hit the surf at least once since thats what tofino is famous for, although the water will be pretty cold haha.

Very quiet little town during the winter, but it will still be beautiful. You will probably be able to see some amazing winter storms, very impressive. I'm not sure if they still run out there in the winter but I would HIGHLY recommend taking one of the boat trips out to hotsprings cove (check around the town, there are about 5 or 6 outfits that run out there). Again, I don't know about in the winter, but in the summer it is about $60-70 and worth every penny!!

Actually, not sure how I knew. Maybe you mentioned it before. I've heard of a few Asain guys named Albert before as well.

The funny thing is I've met around seven Alberts in my life and they were all Asain.
I wonder why there are no white guys named Albert

The new villas they built 2 years ago or so are probably the nicest accomodations I've been to, ever. Wow that was a good weekend.
What do people think the prospects of renting a limo are for new years? will they be running their prices up?
