Really!? I did not know. Has there been any press on it or just rumblings? Probably in Red Deer isn't it?

Flames rookies not going to Pentiction is probably a one-time thing I am guessing, the roster is already being spread too thin wth the China trip this September.

Schedules and rosters probably released tomorrow.

Don't worry about going on the 4th. Likely just medical testing and not open to the public

Committed to St. Lawrence next year.

Matthew Galajda is coming off a great year at Cornell. Another interesting invite.

Ernst is a mobile, offensive minded defensemen with developing two-way capabilities. A player who boasts a intriguing amount of raw talent, Ernst shows an ability to be a capable puck carrying defensemen with slightly above average speed and mobility. A player who transitions up ice well, Ernst is at his most confident in the offense zone were he looks to inject himself into the attack. Boasting a heavy and accurate point shot, Ernst gets pucks on net and showing an ability to create shooting lanes. While his defensive zone play is still a work in progress, Ernst shows an ability to contain with effectiveness, stick on puck defensive skills and improved awareness.

They convinced a Russian junior player to come over interesting. (Bogdon Zhilyakov)

https://www.thedraftanalyst.com/2018...ld-know-about/

Quote:
LHD Bogdan Zhilyakov (Dynamo SPB, MHL | 4/6/00 | 6’0, 181): One of Russia’s better draft-eligible puck rushers who as a 16-year-old played a key role for Dymamo. Zhilyakov, who should make Russia’s U18 Hlinka squad later this month, is a smooth skater who pivots extremely well and has first-step quickness. One thing that certainly stands out is his poise under pressure, as he routinely spins and curls away from aggressive forecheckers before connecting with a hard tape-to-tape pass. He plays it safe in the offensive zone, but his teammates trust him with the puck, especially during cycles. Zhilyakov has a hard, accurate shot and is capable of running a power play thanks to his quick feet and ability to draw opponents out of position. He can be guilty of overcommitting to the strong side, but he otherwise seems to communicate well with his forwards.

A big-bodied all-around forward that has good offensive instincts and excellent positional awareness during unfolding plays. Plays a power game and drives the net hard. Fluid skater that has room to improve near the top of his acceleration to become more explosive. His maturity, character, and willingness to do what it takes to win is embodied by his humility in taking the time to improve upon and learn all aspects of multiple roles. Explosive shot release and proficient puckhandling ability. Huge potential as an effective two-way forward with skill. [EP]
