We aren’t trading for him it would be a UFA deal.... please Treliving don’t do this.

I like the player...but power forwards do not age well. So this is hopefully (somehow) a reasonable contract in both term and dollars.

Guess he didn’t learn from the Brouwer deal.

I don't mind it I guess, but a bit of a let down after thinking about potentially acquiring ROR for the last 20 minutes or so.

Not keen on this one but meh. Still think theres some trades that have to happen at the rate they're signing FA's

We need some size. We need a guy that can finish. We need a guy that can play with high skilled players. Maroon checks all the boxes. I’d be happy with that signing depending on term and cap hit. A nice complimentary piece that addresses the top line gap for the immediate future. That is one thing sorely missing in our system, a big body on the wing with some skill. If Jankowski could play RW!

If true, and it’s a ways from that, as mentioned there has to be some other movement for the logjam on the bottom 6 from last year.
Bennett Janko Foo for ROR, for example.

Still not quite comparable. Maroon actually has a history of being a positive impact on his team and line mates.
...unlike Mr. Leechy Mc. Anchor Pants Troy Brouwer.

Not the first choice for me either, but it admittedly fills a glaring need on the team.

Over the last 8 years, 100% of Oiler wingers traded to New Jersey go on to win the Hart Trophy two years later. Very smart move.

Maroon is LH LW. I don't really see the need for him. He's got size but not speed.
