Ask TJ Brodie if that’s his only quality. The guy has 6 straight seasons of 200 to 275 hits while averaging 8 to 9 minutes a night. When he’s on the ice he makes use of his time and has provided intimidation and grit to some of the more talented higher end teams over that time frame. Just because he’s good at punching faces doesn’t mean you should pigeon hole into that one facet of the game that he’s clearly elite in. He can hit like a train, stand up for the skilled players on the team and is beloved in the locker room. I would have gladly payed 3x1.8 for intangibles like that.
