Before even contemplating signing him we need to find out just how sweet he thinks that point total is. Last thing we need is to sign a guy who’s lacking the motivation to get anymore points because he’s got a rad joke going at the moment.

Yeah after seeing the Reeves signing and looking at how crazy the Center market is I’m okay if they don’t dive in.

Anything long than 3 years and higher than $3M and it’s not going to be a good deal IMO

I don't see Ryan signing for anything less than 3 years. My guess is the Flames sign him for 3 years $3.25/yr

Agree with the 3 years.

Incoming CP meltdown if it's anything more than 3.5.

Nick Shore could be had for $950k. Ryan would be 4C but paid like a top 6 winger. Hope if he signs its more reasonable.

If he scores 40 points a year for the next 3 years he is worth 4 mil per annum.
No acquisition cost is important.

I think it's going to be closer to $4 million than $3 million for sure. I would be more worried about the term. Anything more than three years and you are looking for trouble. This player hasn't played enough games and you can't be sure that last season wasn't his career season.

That is a tall order for a guy under 70 over 3 seasons. Also Shore has no acquisition cost either.

Hopefully Ryan keeps improving then because he has not hit 40 points in a season yet.

I wonder if Ryan is a 38 point guy or a guy who scored 38 points. I suspect he is a guy who scored 38 points. A team has to wonder if he will give them the "Jeff Finger" once he signs his final contract.

Guess I'm just a bit apprehensive. I'm not against him signing here, but it feels like its turning into a big price tag and the sample size is small.

$950k and you know what he is. I'm ok with certainty in that role.

The bottom six forwards were a huge issue when it came to offence the past season.

That is for certain.

We know what he is allright....more of what the problem with the team was last year.

They have to upgrade the bottom 6...by far the biggest problem with this team

Bottom 8 IMO, the 20 year old on the second line was just fine.
