I just mostly feel bad for the fans who ponied up big $ thinking they'd be having one of the best matches of the group round - only to be getting a lazy friendly.

Maybe we'll all be wrong, doubt it though.

Its a Group Stage game, they're largely a crapshoot, but they also tend to be the least expensive games.

Its like any sport, theres no guarantees.

This England-Belgium situation is a freaking joke. FIFA should simply stop this crap and make a new draw for all the teams coming out of the group stage. Teams not wanting to win the group and actually hoping to lose is nothing but pathetic.

I feel bad for me when I pony up good dough to watch uninspired Gulutzan Flames hockey.

Such is life.

Plus, I doubt those WC group stage tickets are as expensive as NHL ticket prices.

Really? I'd guess they were way more expensive.

they can be more or less, less if you're local and get a bundle of games.

For example if there is a game in Edmonton between Brazil and England. Some tickets are allocated to the Brazil and England FA and the rest are general admission. But you can get deals if you're a Canadian citizen buying at particular sponsored places. I heard "Russian" tickets for the first round were going for as little as $30 in Row Z but the 'lower bowl ticket' is probably $200.

I think the final is around $1000.

Nobody cares about England (B) vs. Belgium (B), the real action is Tunisia vs. Panama!

The real heavyweights are going for it!

I just saw Fellaini use his head for something other than violent assault! Who knew?

They should just change the scoreboard to yellow cards until someone scores.

Of course I had to slag Januzaj and he scores a beauty, albeit one his coach can't be happy about.

Between Columbia and then the Tunisian goalkeeper, they're alone giving soccer a terrible name. More diving and flopping than the Olympic diving centre.

Unwatchable acting

So let's go ahead an assume the following is guaranteed:

England lost to Belgium on purpose to get the "easy path"
England will lose to Colombia
Brazil will lose to Mexico
Uruguay will beat Portugal and France
Belgium will get the real easy path of Japan, Mexico and Uruguay, and coast to the Final.
