A little background on Maradona? I know he was an amazing player but what has gotten him to this stage in his life where he can barely walk (even with drinking)?

Maradona has been an awful ambassador for the sport for years. He’s been partying his World Cup win for the past 4 decades. It’s amazing he’s still alive, probably has a bunch of “yes” men in his entourage. Very sad but he seems like a lost cause

Well, I am pleasantly surprised, impressed that Croatia won when they did not have to, perhaps they are the class of the world cup right now. Although i did not even glance at that game. Someone can maybe comment on on how that game went.
Also, although I really thought Nigeria would pull it out (they got too defensive very much like Sweden against Germany), this makes for a potentially very compelling and entertaining round of 16 match between Argentina and France(way better then a euro snoozefest of Iceland-France). I don't remember seeing that matchup before and Argentina should lose in a visually attractive way.
