Were the Russians throwing the game? Uruguay could have France, Portugal/Spain, and Argentina in their quarter of the knockout round.

Normally I'd call you crazy, but its the Russians, so cheating is never out of the question.

Russia throwing the game seems unlikely, runners up likely getting Spain while winner likely getting Portugal. Great as Ronaldo is, Portugal an easier matchup than Spain. Unless maybe the Russians know the tainted water supply to weaken the opponent is in Moscow and not Sochi, so that's why they tanked. Or maybe they lost in an attempt to throw the doping scent off. Anything's possible really.

De Gea clearly tanking to drive his value down for Madrid. Only goalie in the WC without a single save!

Are you going to tell me that in a group of Spain, Portugal, Iran and Morocco that Spain and Portugal are going to progress?

No way. I dont believe you. Another criminally difficult group. They really need the Faroe Islands and maybe even Botswana in that group.

Quaresma really likes shooting with the outside of his foot. It kind of gives him all the advantages of a natural and inverted winger.

Now Iran will be forced to play with 9 behind the ball.

Definite hand ball on Pique right there, although to be fair he should already have been sent off, so....???
