Talking about the Philly pick, he’s small, he doesn’t see him getting any bigger, hopefully he does okay. Certainly doesn’t hold back.

Well, the Hamilton, Hamonic trades were big last couple years at the draft. Trade Deadline, I agree, but they weren't in a position to do anything big there, I guess.

Who would the Flames be interested in for St. Louis' 29th, and what are they prepared to give up?

Whether Dobson works out or not, why is it so hard to admit the flames got fleeced on the trade.
#12 overall in a good draft + 2 2nd rounders for a #4 defensive dman who's defense has been subpar 3 years straight is a bad trade. PERIOD.
|
Go look at some statistics of what players drafted outside the top 10 amount to. Crapshoot.
Not to mention the Flames likely move Hamonic at some point.

The relevant question has never really been whether Hamonic was worth those picks, but whether he was it worth it to the Flames given their needs and progress towards building a winner.
If the Flames are no better than they showed last year, that trade is an unmitigated disaster.
If they can show last year was a blip, and improve through better coaching and tweaking the lineup, well it can still work out for them.

Crazy how if the Flames never make the Hamonic trade they still finish in the exact same place in the standings. I don’t understand how any of this works. Someone hold me.

Probably the 10th time that I've heard that this draft is now going to get very interesting and lots of Trades are going to happen.

My bad. I guess I should have said that more often than not I am left disappointed. Yes, there have been some big moves but it seems like so many big deals slip through the Flames fingers.

Most on here don't like hearing the truth. BT looks like an idiot for that trade outside of CP.

Good point. You'd think they'd be worse without him.
